Awesome class, recipes posted (or coming soon)

The canning class this morning was fabulous- great crowd, great energy, just really a ton of fun! A huge thanks to Twins Ace Hardware for hosting me and this event. It's a great store! Here is a link to last night's okonomiyaki which was definitely delicious. Also, this lovely salad o' mine -Melon and Watercress with a Honey-Marcona Dressing- was just nominated for Community Pick consideration on Food52. Everything is perfectly in season right now, so you should try it soon. Mmm!

Off to post the shrimp bisque recipe!

Shrimp dinner = YUM

I'm not going to lie, this was an excellent dinner. It is definitely worth making your own shrimp stock, so anytime you're peeling shrimp, make yourself feel good for getting involved in such a yukky activity by keeping in mind that homemade stock is simple and wonderful. I've not yet made a transcendent chicken stock, but this shrimp one, yes! And this bisque involves no cream; just the aforementioned stock, fennel, leeks, shrimp, seasonings and so forth, and then you puree it. Too, these okonomiyaki are riDICulously good. I will surely make these again!
