Snickerdoodle Shortbread

As with the Wednesday NY Times, from which I grab the Dining section immediately upon the paper's removal from the ubiquitous blue bag, I scour Sunday's Magazine first-thing to find that day's highlighted recipe(s). In September 9th's was a Mark Bittman recipe for shortbread cookies as well as a number of variations on the basic. This afternoon, Oliver and I went for the cinnamon sugar version and damn are these fabulous. Hell's bells!
