Hot bliss

Ok, that sounds a bit racy but I certainly don't mean it as such. Yo! It's hot here today and has been blissfully slow, calm and quiet. Carpool, seeing friends, Pilates, grocery shopping, cooking, writing, dog walking and now off for another pick-up. I'm in heaven, feeling both productive and rejuvenated.

Did you see Melissa Clark's strawberry shortcake recipe in yesterdays NYTimes Dining section? That will be made and mine in a few short hours. Yippee! And thank you MC for a brilliant and simple new way of cutting parchment rounds. Amen sister!
