Verlyn Klinkenborg

Once you get past his unfortunate name, VK is a wonderfully lyrical writer- do you know his work from the NYTimes and his own books? I just love the way he evokes the beauty and minutiae of nature. He seems to miss nothing, hearing and noticing everything, asking you to consider the ways in which you miss and/or might better appreciate the world around you. I love his pieces, small and more lengthy. Do you, too, feel over TG? Mamma mia! And we're on towards the December holidays!
