The freezer comes to the rescue again, remarkable cake

Guess what I found in the freezer today? Red chili cornbread and white bean-turkey chili. We'll have a great dinner with nothing more required of us than to thaw and heat. Whoo-hoo. I've talked about my great pal, foodie friend C, many times before, and today I simply must share her recent creation with you: a rainbow cake she made for her daughter's recent birthday. Can you imagine anything more perfect for a 6 year old's big day? Wow!

Six layers, all homemade and leveled by hand. From scratch white chocolate ganache frosting, hand-piped ribbons, and just look at those darling sprinkles which give the impression of a machine of mini gumballs having burst in honor of this little girl turning 6. Isn't this just beyond?

If you would like the recipes for the cake or icing or additional instructions on how C made this cake, let me know. C generously shared her path to success. It is very involved, and I can tell you now, that I will never be making this cake. But if you want something beautiful for a special little girl, this is IT!

Major wow factor, yes?!
