The cupcakes that had to be

I never did get to the pie but this afternoon was seized by the need to make some strawberry cupcakes. Leftover strawberry puree made a lovely addition to this vanilla buttercream. After dinner - T finished off the short rib ragu that I'd not frozen or shared, and I had an enormous salad- we watched last night's Mad Men (terrif), and I dare say these then made for a spectacular end to a long day.
