Talk, pie

Nate Silver is so freaking smart and in such command of all material statistical and poli-sci oriented, but he's kind of an awkward dude. Matt Bai is also incredibly knowledgeable but also quite personable. Tonight's talk wasn't as engaging as was Michael Pollan's, but it was a great DC-pols event of which to take advantage. Bai made a point which I think is incredibly important but easily forgotten: while the general populace may be strongly in support of something -ex: gun control- that might be only their 6th most cared-about issue while for those opposed to gun control, it's their primary priority. Thus, no gun control. The pie is setting, but I might dig in early. How good does the cocoa crust look? AAAh.
