Roasted tomato jam

My sister has just informed me that I am turning into an Italian grandmother. I love it! Perhaps perfectly in line with that, I've just wrapped up the roasted tomato jam, a new recipe from Amanda Hesser. Spiced with chiles, fennel, cinnamon and lemon, it's savory-sweet and the most beautiful color. I can taste it atop a salty cheese and grilled bread, or warmed and spooned over fresh ricotta. Hmm...
