21 March 2020: Daily Humor + Reality + a way to help

Man, y’all, I just plum fell apart this morning. I’m not scared of getting sick, but I am somewhat overwhelmed by the quantity of future time that is totally unknown and involves everyone constantly being at home + isolated from everyone else. Today, the boys were supposed to leave for spring break with my parents. Obviously that was canceled, and everyone involved is crushed. Meanwhile, the cooking, laundry, dishes, lack of alone time, sibling bickering, everyone dealing with stress in different ways, everything canceled, Italy is in BAD shape and my sister is there and safe but shit. Two friends and I randomly saw each other at Whole Foods yesterday, and the joy of seeing non-immediate family was palpable.

But, ok. I got to work outside again today and the boys made up and we treated ourselves and supported a local restaurant by ordering out and I do have a laugh track for you. How awesome was the Israeli mom yesterday?! I know. Beyond words.

Not funny, just interesting because no, I never before knew how bats peed.

Local peeps, I’m helping a friend do a drive for a local gem of a children and family shelter. If you have any outdoor/recreational games for kids or want to donate food, please let me know! Thank you!
