In a word: yum! This is the Em-i-lis Centraal Sandwich with the addition of roast turkey and the exchange of marinated tomatoes for the sun-dried ones in my original recipe.
For Father’s Day, I bought Tom these sumptuous looking Tunisian-style artichoke leaves in olive oil (Williams-Sonoma) as he just loves and cannot get enough of artichokes. He took too long to open them so today, although he is not here, I opened them. :) I’m glad I did. Here we have multi-grain bread, fresh mozzarella, the artichoke leaves, Divina tomatoes from Whole Foods (look on the salad bar- these are great alone, here and with goat cheese), fresh roast turkey and a tiny smear of Dijon. Aah.
If it were possible to sue your 5 and 2 year olds, this morning, I would.
