13 April 2020: Daily Shiz

The available quarantine humor seems to slowing slightly, probably because this shit is not funny and most of us have been inside for at least a month, most more, listening to grim statistics about people dying. My part of Maryland has recently had a frickload of rain, tornado watches, huge temperature swings on a nearly daily basis, and downed trees and branches are getting to be an all-too-common site. I am sick to death of having to wrap my plants in frost cloth each night, and I am tired of gusting winds that make nothing fun.

Ok, thanks for letting me vent. This spoke to me today.

this speaks to the introvert in me!

JM doesn’t do it for me, but the comment on this is priceless.

12 April 2020: Daily Humor

I don’t have too much in the way of humor for y’all today, although the following video is solid, and the first tweet is perfection. Although my little crew doesn’t celebrate Easter, we did Zoom with my sister and her family in Italy -Buona Pasqua!- and my parents in Louisiana, and we went wild and enjoyed a socially distant lunch with my in-laws in McLean (none of us has touched a non-nuclear-family human in a month) and a Zoom there with my brother-in-law and his family in Raleigh. So great to see everyone. That said, it all made me miss everyone even more. Shit on this virus. Also, shit on the government refusing to help the US Postal Service. I LOVE the flipping postal service. So should you, and you probably know that. Please, this week, buy stamps, send a letter, tell your mail carrier thank you, and call your senators and reps, urging them to support/fund the USPS during this difficult time. The USPS does NOT need to be privatized. Damnit.

Humor:

This is terrific. Crisis! What’s the protocol? The Office was/is the source of so many good things.
