Checking in on the garden

Hydrangeas are pretty nearly a perfect flower. I just adore them: they’re so old-fashioned yet never date; the enormous spectrum of hues they can present is fabulous; they’re lazy but not. And how cool is this spider!?

Oh.My.God. I am in love with my sage pesto. Y’all MUST try this: 3/4 c packed sage leaves + 5 basil leaves + 1/4 c toasted pine nuts + 1/3 c EVOO + 3/4 tsp salt + 4 cloves garlic + freshly cooked pasta (recipe posted). Ridiculously good. I tossed mine with grilled salmon which [...]
